I like infantry assault based space marine armies and as a result I don't spend much time looking at the heavy vehicle options of the codex. Today however I decided to give it a serious look to see what I could come up with at the good old 1500 point level. I think Blood Angels have an advantage on this front over their counter parts because of their suped up engines that make all their vehicles, except landraiders, fast moving.
Mechanized Blood Angels List 1500 points
HQ
Librarian: 100 points. A simple cheap HQ choice that will sit in a Stormraven casting his 5+ invulnerable save to units within 6 inches of him.
Troops
5 man assault squads with
melta bombs x3: 315 points. Three simple troop choices without their jump packs to get a discount on on the razorbacks.
Dedicated Transport
3 Razorbacks with
twin-linked lascannons: 195 points. Cheap fast moving twin linked lascannons for anti vehicle shooting.
Fast Attack
Baal Predator with
flamestorm cannon x2: 230 points. Predators with the scout rule and an ap3 flame template is perfect for fast anti elite or heavy infantry fire.

Heavy Support
Stormraven Gunship
with twin-lined multi melta and twin-linked lascannons and extra armor: 430 points. A flyer to blow up heavy vehicles with its high powered weapons, and can engage other flyers just as well.
Predator with twin-linked lascannon x2: 230
points. More anit armor but with higher armor than the razorbacks but are still just as fast.
